America's Least Favorite Pizza Topping

If you've ever ordered pizza at a party, you know everyone has their own opinion. Just asking the room, "What toppings should we get?" can spark a heated debate.

Vegetarians will be disappointed if they get the meat lover's pizza, while others may gag at the thought of putting anything green on their slice.

YouGov has finally put an end to the debate. Anchovies are America's least favorite pizza topping, according to a survey of over 6,000 adults.

It's amazing that anchovies are still widely available in pizza joints across the country. More than half of all respondents (61%) disliked this fishy topping.

With 52% of the vote, eggplant came in second, followed by artichokes, broccoli, and pineapple.

This dislike of anchovies on pizza may run in families. Data showed that fewer than half of those aged 18 to 24 disliked anchovies, compared to nearly 70% of those aged 54 and up.

If anchovies are still available at your local pizzeria, there must be a cult following, right? Nope! Only 8% liked the topping. 6% liked eggplant.

What should you order for a large group? If you're ordering based on the most popular toppings rather than, say, health or ethical considerations, go with pepperoni.

64% of people polled favoured it. The sausage came in second with 56% of the vote. Mushrooms, extra cheese, and onions were also popular choices.
