Increased Risk of Cancer

Canola oil consumption increases oxidative stress and inflammation, both of which are major contributors to cancer.

Increased Oxidative Stress

Canola has the potential to contribute to oxidative stress by depleting important antioxidants such as vitamin E.

Impair Digestion

The canola plant contains a number of toxic acids that interfere with digestion by inhibiting the secretion of stomach acid and protein-digesting enzymes.

Allergies and Asthma

Canola oil stimulates the production of histamines, which may cause allergies and  conditions like asthma.

Heart Disease

Canola oil may cause inflammation in the heart due to partial hydrogenation, which may  impact heart health.

Brain Function

As an inflammatory food, canola oil may contribute to poor brain function.

Cell Rigidity

Canola oil's polyunsaturated fats have been found to increase membrane rigidity, which can impair cellular function and contribute to many degenerative diseases.
