Vegetables have a low fat and sugar content by nature. Green beans, broccoli, asparagus, cauliflower, leafy greens, potatoes, and cucumbers are all good choices.
Root vegetables such as potatoes are excellent choices, as are carrots, turnips, and parsnips. They're high in fiber and complex carbohydrates.
Oatmeal is an excellent source of fiber. A diet high in fiber has a lower risk of acid reflux. Other fiber options include whole-grain bread and whole-grain rice.
It is a low-acid fruit that will not aggravate your symptoms. Low-acid fruits such as watermelon, cantaloupe, and honeydew are among the best foods for acid reflux.
Your body requires fat to function properly, but fatty foods can aggravate GERD symptoms. As a result, a healthier fat like olive oil can be used in place of butter or margarine.
Mild vegetables, such as lettuce and celery, are low in calories, easy on the stomach, and will not cause more gas.
Because this is a complex carbohydrate, it takes longer to digest than simple carbs like white rice, pastries, or sugary drinks – which are good for reflux.
Chicken breasts are easy to digest because they are lean and high in protein. Just make sure to remove the skin before baking or sautéing them.
This root can relieve stomach discomfort. Try some hot ginger tea without caffeine, which can aggravate acid reflux.
Its moderate licorice flavor and low acid content can aid in soothing an upset stomach, which can be a cause and symptom of GERD.
